Mogosoaia Palace is situated near Bucharest (10 km) in a splendid park on the shore of Mogosoaia Lake. Mogoasoaia Palace was built in 1698 -1702 by Constantin Bracoveanu – a famous Romanian Voivode. The Palace is an architectural monument, having the façade dominated by traditional staircase balconies, and by the arcades and columns with capitals, specific to the “Brancovenesc” (Brancovan) style.  Mogosoaia Palace has also some Byzantine decorative features and adornments which join stylistic elements characteristic both of the Italian Renaissance and the Baroque.

Domeniul Ştirbey is dedicated to the idea of preserving its natural and historical monuments, which are part of the national patrimony, as well as the means of development chosen by the family of Barbu Ştirbey, ruler of Walachia, who always managed to harmoniously combine the traditional values with innovation and with a modern and entrepreneurial spirit.
For a century and a half, Domeniul Ştirbey constantly evolved, adapting to economic changes, being a silent witness to dramatic political decisions and changes, sheltering a ruler’s family, receiving important guests and remaining yet unchanged in what had probably been designed for it initially: a simple, natural elegance, the romantic air of the park with its secular trees, a sense of freedom tempered only by good taste, which make visitors find it familiar and intimate.
